VICTORY: Contract Signed With Meharry!

New five-year agreement a breakthrough after stalled talks

After over a year and a half of struggle, SEIU completed negotiations with Meharry Medical College in Nashville, signing a five-year contract that gives union-covered employees new benefits including short-term disability coverage, merit pay raises, and a better employer/employee split on health insurance premiums.

Thanks to the negotiating team, including Rick Pettit, Jack Watkins, and chief union steward Gloria Jones, who helped end the long dispute that ultimately helped improve the working conditions of hard-working union members.
