Workers Win in Chattanooga Senate Race!

Andy Berke, the candidate that SEIU supported, won election to the state Senate in a landslide victory!

Thanks to the hard work of Chattanooga union activists who went door-to-door and to hundreds of members in the district who cast their votes, Berke was elected with over 63% of the vote against the well-connected son of a former U.S. Senator.

Coming on the heels of some big wins in the Nashville Metro Council, the Berke election builds on Local 205's ongoing "Purple-Powered People" campaign to have union members take an active role in electing pro-labor candidates to office.
