City Employees Stand Together In Chattanooga
In a strong display of solidarity, over 150 public employees from SEIU Local 205, the IBPO (police union) and IAFF (firefighters union) filled the Chattanooga city council building to voice their concerns to council members. Public Works employee
Steve West was part of the delegation who spoke out about the need to restore retirement benefits that were cut last year, to make sure that workers are paid overtime, to shore up the city's pension fund, and to abolish the "10% Rule" for grievances.
