Terry Lambert

Methodist Medical Center

Terry Lambert is a Registered Nurse at Methodist Medical Center, working in the Emergency Department on the day shift. He has been at MMC since 2006, and a proud member of SEIU 205 for the last three years.

Be sure to wish him a happy birthday, because on October 21st, he will be 39 years old. Terry’s wife Keisha also works at MMC, and the two of them recently moved to Oak Ridge. Terry is a union steward, and encourages all of his co-workers to join the SEIU family to make the union and its bargaining power with the hospital stronger.

Before coming to Methodist, he was a staff nurse at St. Mary’s in the CPU unit. He obtained his ASN at Lincoln Memorial University and is currently enrolled at South University online completing his BSN. Terry loves Firehouse Subs, but says sushi is always at the top of his favorites list. He has always wanted to learn to play music, but has never had the time to take lessons. Terry has an infectious laughter, and when he is taking care of his patients, his warmth and caring personality make them feel like they are being cared for by a friend.

When he is not saving lives in the ER, Terry is a true family man, and enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter, Lauren. When asked what he would say to someone who isn’t sure about union membership, Terry says “I have worked at almost every hospital system in East Tennessee, and out of all of them Methodist is the most nurse-friendly hospital there is. I believe it is due to the union, and the protections afforded the workers because of the union”.
