You Can Be SEIU's "Shining Star"!
New Program Recognizes Union Activists
As part of SEIU Local 205's goals of activating and mobilizing our members, we're proud to announce our "Shining Star" program that recognizes the most active members of our union. The program will culminate in an awards dinner each year to recognize our most dedicated members.
Each year we will be tracking member participation at various SEIU events through sign-in sheets. In November, we will tally individual participation to determine what level of activist recognition members have qualified for. These levels will be determined by the following point system:
Worksite Meetings
Chapter Meetings
Steward Meetings
Bargaining Meetings
Local Committee Meetings
Misc. Meetings & Activities
Additional Volunteer Work
Community/Political Actions

Unionism is a committment that requires time and energy - both on and off the job - for the Union to be strong. The Future Strength Committee wanted to formally recognize the continued committment of our activists. We look forward to your participation in the program.
