The 99% Win Big On Election Day

The results are in—and working people won big on Election Day. The 99 percent, including working families in Maine, Ohio, Mississippi, Arizona, and Tennessee asserted themselves and proudly proclaimed that they want a country where people come before profits, every American has a good job that can support a family, people who have worked hard can retire with dignity and where the next generation can have a better life.

In Ohio, SEIU District 1199 President Becky Williams said, “This is a victory not just for Ohio but for the nation. From this moment, let there be no doubt that the citizens of our state have spoken and they stand in solidarity with our everyday heroes like nurses, parole officers and other public employees.”
