SEIU Local 205 represented an employee who was injured on the job at Metro Nashville Public Schools. Administrators tried to say this woman didn’t fill out her paperwork in a timely manner and they were going to deny her IOD (injured on duty) claim and make her use up her sick time.
The employee called the Union Hall and our representatives were able to prove that the employee’s principal knew all about her IOD. The principal even sent the employee to the IOD doctor. In the end, administrators honored the IOD and made the employee whole by giving her sick days back.
